Privacy Policy
This Privacy Policy explains how Passonto handles information when you create or open a shared item link.
Important: A Passonto link is not publicly listed, but anyone who receives the link can open it. Names and optional contact details added to an interest list are visible to everyone with that link.
Information we collect
- Information used to create a link: the creator’s name, item names, descriptions, and photos.
- Optional creator email: used to send a copy of the link and interest notifications.
- Interest information: a person’s name and any optional phone number, social handle, or email address they choose to add.
- Basic technical information: hosting and security logs such as request time, browser information, and IP address may be processed by our service providers to operate and protect the service.
How we use information
We use information only to create and display shared links, show interest lists, send requested emails and notifications, prevent abuse, troubleshoot problems, and operate Passonto.
Who can see shared information
Anyone with a shared link can see the creator’s name, item content, interested names, and any contact details people choose to provide. Do not add sensitive or private information that you do not want link recipients to see.
How long we keep information
Shared links, item records, interest lists, and uploaded photos are scheduled for automatic deletion 30 days after the link is created. Hosting providers may keep short-lived security logs or backups according to their own operational schedules.
Analytics
Passonto uses Google Analytics to understand aggregate use of the service, such as which pages are opened and which product actions are used. We configure Analytics without advertising personalization and do not intentionally send names, email addresses, phone numbers, item descriptions, photos, or unique shared-link identifiers to Analytics. Google may process basic device, browser, and usage information according to its own terms and privacy practices.
Service providers
Passonto uses service providers to run the site, including Vercel for hosting, Upstash for data storage, Resend when email delivery is requested, and Google Analytics for aggregate usage measurement. These providers process information for the purpose of providing their services to Passonto.
Local storage
Passonto may use your browser’s local storage to remember a link you created or an interest action on that device. You can clear this information through your browser settings.
Sale of personal information
Passonto does not sell personal information.
Your choices
You may leave optional email and contact fields blank. To request removal before the automatic 30-day deletion, contact us and include the full Passonto link. We may need enough information to verify and locate the content.
Children
Passonto is not intended for children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. A parent or guardian who believes a child has submitted information may contact us.
Security
We use reasonable measures designed to protect information, but no internet service can guarantee absolute security. Keep shared links within the group of people you intend to reach.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy as Passonto changes. The effective date at the top will show the latest revision.
